Aardpeer

COmON Foundation is one of the funders of the Aardpeer Project which has been initiated by Stichting Wij.land (partner of Aardpeer) in cooperation with Stichting BD Grondbeheer, Triodos Regenerative Money Center and Stichting Herenboeren. The goal of this project is to establish an investment fund to acquire agricultural land enabling the transition to a more equitable and sustainable agricultural and food system in The Netherlands. High land prices are a systematic driver to intensification of the agricultural system. The Aardpeer project enables both farmers and food initiatives to get access to land for affordable lease prices. The investor is given a modest financial return and high natural and social returns. This will enable the transition to a food and agricultural system that is driven by nature, socially connected and economically sound.
